  1. I vaguely recall someone asking (on one of these groups) how to get more
accurate tracks, and being told to set 'point every .01 mile', and then
I &/or someone else pointed out that if you set 'units' to metric with
Garmin GPS you can then have .01Km, which is 60% more points.

I just discovered that if you set 'yards' for distance and speed units,
at least on the 60C, you can then set distance for trackpoints as low as
0.1 yards (~4"😉. Actually you can set 0.04 (the 4 being left over from
some earlier selection of 0.01 Km .. which is 10.x4 yards, and you can
    zero the first 3 characters, but you can't affect the 4th) .. I didn't
    try that.

I can confirm that at 0.5 Yards, you get a LOT of trackpoints .. and
very soon fill up the log. However '5 yards' might be usable for a short
survey walk round a twisty track.

HTH someone, someday .. even if only to check what happens when their
trackpoint memory fills up (hint: if you have 'don't wrap' set, on my
old Etrex, it actually turns off tracking .. doesn't just 'stop', it
actually turns the option off in the menu - can be a problem for the
    next walk).
