  1. Ran the Monterey Bay Half Marathon yesterday. Couldn't have asked for
a better weather. Heard it does get a little warm some years. The
    course
was by far the toughest I ever ran - quite rolling with fairly steep
inclines. It was tough but challenging.

Completed in 2:20:22. I would like to do this race again next year.

There was decent participation - not too small, not too large, and most
of them appeared to be frequent runners. Contrary to my expectations,
    the
organization was fantastic. There were water stops every 2 miles.
    Perhaps
since it was organized by a University (CSUMB), they had plenty of
    volunteers.

Are there any running groups in the Monterey Peninsula? I would like to
join a group for long runs over the weekend. I do solo runs of upto 10M
on weekends. I would very much like to practice over this course
    atleast
once a month. I take very brief walking breaks every mile and my
    practice
runs are paced at about 12 min/mile. Thanks.
