  1. I am currently contracting in Iraq and live in a small hooch. I need the bike to be convenient for space since I do not have much room and do not want to leave it out in the weather all night. But I also want a sturdy bike. I was looking at the Montague Paratrooper and wondering if anyone had any ideas if the bike would take some abuse and still hold up? I am about 5'8 so I am also deciding between the 18'' and the 20'' frames? Any help would be much appreciated.

  2. Hey Tingram,
I think the Paratrooper would be an excellent choice. I've ridden them on pretty rough trails and off decent drops. No bike could give you a better combination of serious mountain bike performance and space saving ability. Although it does fold, it doesnt have any actual cuts or hinges in the frame. The frame rotates around the seat tube and when locked into place it is rock solid - feels just like a traditional mountain bike. I think they recommend the 20" frame for people 5'11" and over so you should probably go with the 18". I've also ridden their next model up - the X70. You can definitely tell the forks and drivetrain are upgraded so it may be worth looking at too.

  3. Thank you, I was waiting on a reply, and went ahead and ordered it.
