  1. I'm planning to cycle Cann River to Canberra as part of pedaling the whole east coast, and I've heard that this highway lives up to it's name as the Snowy Mountains. Big climbs don't bother me, but I'm struggling to find a map that has contour lines, or even better, a website that breaks down the gradients for the highway. Without one, planning my mileage is becoming an issue.

    Can anyone help?

  2. Hi Gary, I can't help with maps but I asked my bushwalking spouse and he suggested that if you have an iPad you should get the Memory Map app and buy the maps for Vic and NSW - cost is around $100 for all the maps for one state, he thinks.

EDIT: You could also try joining the bushwalk.com forum (Australian bushwalking forum) and asking on there - someone may have scanned versions of topo maps they are happy to let you have free of charge or even paper topo maps they want to get rid of.

  3. Absolutely fantastic thank you. I don't have an iPad but I have an iPhone so I'll check out the app, see if its available in a mobile version. The bush walking website is a great idea, I'll definitely have a look when I get to my computer this evening! :-)
