    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method --------
    ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cup all-
    purpose flour -- sifted
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2/4 teaspoon baking soda
    3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    4/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    5/3 cup butter
    6/3 cup packed light brown sugar 1 each egg
    7/2 cup mincemeat 1 tablespoon sour cream

    Vanilla Glaze: 1 1/2 cups sifted
    confectioner's sugar 1 dash salt 1
    teaspoon vanilla extract 2
    tablespoons melted butter 2
    tablespoons heavy cream

    Sift first 5 ingredients and set aside. Cream butter and
    sugar. Add egg, and combine mixtures. Then add mincemeat
    and cream, mixing by hand. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls in
    mounds onto ungreased cookie sheet, leaving 2 inches
    between mounds. Bake in preheated hot oven (400 F.) for 10
    to 12 minutes. Remove from oven and frost with Vanilla
    Glaze while hot.

    Vanilla Glaze Mix 1 1/2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar,
    dash of salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons
    melted butter, and about 2 tablespoons heavy cream.
