  1. I have been reading a lot of posts about this. When I looked it up,
    it calls for a 3 pound chicken. I thought that roasters were about 6
    pounds and a 3 pound chicken is a fryer. Anybody use this recipe with
    a 6 pounder? I have two 6 pounders in the freezer.

    It takes about the same amount of time - 5 hours. Use your meat thermometer
    to test for done-ness.

    I also turn the chicken over for the last half hour or so, so the breast
    gets nice and browned.

    This is practically the only way I cook chicken. It's easy.
