  1. I only managed a meagre 15km today, but as it was with my 6yo it seemed
a lot further! We meandered up to a McDonald's a few km away (using part
of the Trans Pennine Trail) and did a pretty stiff unsurfaced climb to
get there. Following on from a tbh excellent McRubbish sarnie we came
home along the A57 back into Hyde, which starts off as a quiet, long
downhill and ends up a very busy flat urban road. Georgia was brill, she
rode well and anticipated other road users and she loved being at the
front row of the traffic lights.

All the cars we got in the way of were excellent, very patient and
courteous so well done all the Hyde shoppers today - Georgia has had a
first taste of road freedom and she loved it.

It's the first time she's ever ventured beyond out local borough
boundary entirely under her own steam, she even clocked the "Welcome to
Hyde" sign on the way back and remarked about it.

All going well so far then!

    Another top cycling day.

    bfn,

    Tony B
