  1. i'm thinking of upgrading my bike ..... it's currently got Middleburn cranks and chainrings with a Royce Titanium BB

i'd like to get a 2005 XTR crankset from a friend which included BB etc.

is this a good switch ? How does Middleburn and Royce stuff fair in the bike component world ?

That's like going from a TVR to a Ford Mondeo Ghia. You might end up
with more reliable transport, but ...!

Put it this way. It's not exactly an /up/grade.

Morning had broken, and I found when I looked that we had run out
    of copper roove nails.

You've forked out for bike with this kit on it and don't know if it's goond
    or not? 😄

Just a hint: Royce Ti BB costs more than £100, XTR costs £35

If the Royce BB is an Isis one (no idea if Royce make ISIS spec gear), then
it'll most likely break soon. Isis BBs break all the time. Get the XTR kit
    as a spare.
