Micardis is not covered on my insurance plan thus costs me about $48 /month - yes ouch! I am taking Micardis (regular w/o HCT - I get side effects from HCT). My question is: I have a bunch of samples of HCT and am assuming that the small dark part of the pill is the HCT part. I successfully scraped the dark part off of an 80/12.5 pill. Whats the problem with taking that for a few weeks? Would save me a lot of money since I have about 6 weeks of samples
