  1. I've got these buggers on several hubs (LX and Exage) from
the early 90's. Every time I remove them to repack bearings
I bend them some nomatter how careful I am, even with a
    sealed bearing puller.

My LBS can't find replacement parts (too old). Any ideas on
replacing these things with rubber versions or something
    less prone to damage?

    Thanks, Michael

  2. napa carries ealants-the trick is surgery skills to get
thepiece back together without greasing the ways.
forethought helps inside diameters are shimmed using a
narrow strip of water jug poly: keep long for fingertip
control, then cut. usa o ring if pssoible to brace up. keep
braced with somethng until the goo sets. ask the
counterman: he may have a goo that hold the piece together
    for all time!!
