  1. Best wishes to all! My Christmas wish for RST is that the renewed activity
here continues, and it regains it's former level of popularity without
losing the friendly, supportive atmosphere that has returned here. I have
gotten old, fat, and lazy over the past year, so I'll be checking in for
encouragement often as I attempt a two year "return to Ironman" campaign
starting Jan 1. Wish me luck, and have a happy New Year!

Hey Tom, join the club. Although I did a few small local races this year, I
certainly have put on my obligatory post-ironman 10 lbs since last year. I
plan on doing a handful of sprints and Oly next year with a single half IM
next October. With a little planning, I should be able to get back into
    "game condition" in 06.

Hopefully, in 2007, I can convince my wife to let me "go long" again. I
turn 40 that year and may have sympathy on my side. ;-)

I'm curious, do you have your eyes on a particular 2007 race? The number of
available IMs seems to be shrinking.

I live in the FL Panhandle, so IMFL is very convenient. That's the race I
did in 2004, though, so I might try something else. GFT would be a nice
change, and I'd like to support an independent race, so that might be the
one. Another huge benefit is not having to worry about missing the six hour
window before the race fills up that is becoming SOP for any M-dot race.

Merry Christmas Tom, to you and yours and to everyone of rst.

May you have a truly remarkable year in training and find an even
greater understanding your body, your limits, and the greatness that
your mind body and soul can find through triathlon.
