  1. x-no-archive: yes OH BOY .. just got a bill from the lab who
does my blood work every 3 months. ($81) for years. My
cardio has always ordered these tests.. We're in the middle
of changing meds. I can NOT take ANY statins .so, we're
trying a lot of work arounds. Bottom line, Medicare will
    ONLY cover THree Lipid Profiles a YEAR 🙁 SOOO .. haven't I
read or seen a Cholesterol or Lipid Profile 'kit' advertised
for sale at a drugstore ? if I did, wonder how accurate they
are ? gosh, I wasn't expecting this : ( TIA Anita in Houston

Don't you and your cardio think 3 tests per year (as covered
by Medicare) is sufficient, even with med changing?

I've never use one of those kits. But I am curious: why
    can't you take a statin?
