Generally speaking the bigest consideration is reducing the caloric intake relative to the exercise level.

Depends on how many miles a week you are putting in also. When I used to ride around 80 miles a week I had to decrease my caloric intake on my days off.

Now that I have increased my mileage over the past year and am riding 150-200 a week, I eat the same on my days off as I do on my ride days.
Because, remember, even though you are taking that day off, it doesn't mean your metabolism stops- it keeps going.

So could you give us a little more information on your weekly activity? how many days a week and how much are you doing each week. One needs to know this before helping you with what to eat on your days off 🙂
