The daily torygrief today has a leader about thought for the day. It
ends (almost) thus:
"Thought for the Day is to continue (and the Today programme, in which
it sits as an autonomous enclave, has wanted to oust it before now), it
makes no sense to turn it over to unreligious causes, no matter how
"heartfelt". It would be like a cyclist presenting Top Gear, "
I did write to them and point out that at least two of the three
presenters of Top Gear are regular cyclists..
