  1. I have been told that Mineral Oil is the recommended lube for the hub
assembly by Mavic for the Mavic Crossmax XL's (Mavic's owners manual is
lame). Can anyone confirm this. I was using T-9 which I thought worked OK (I
re-build often). What I notice with the Mineral Oil is on the stand when I
spin the rear wheel the crank arms turn when the rear wheel is free
wheeling. This occurs immediately after re-building where this did not
    happen with the T-9.

    Thanks,

I use Mobil One along with the 'wee thin washer on top of the axle stub'
trick that a Mavic tecjh told me about. These hubs need a lot of TLC,
too bad considering the past excellence of Mavic hubs, now long gone.
