"I don't believe a word of it."
I don't believe you.
Are you quoting Dylan?
I'm not quoting anybody, although I'm sure I'm not the first person
ever to say "I don't believe you".

No, it was just a terrible attempt at humor.
See, Mark Hickey said that he does, in fact, exist. I expressed my
fake disbelief (intended as pseudo-irony) about that possibility.
Then, when Carl said something else about it, I again expressed my
fake disbelief.
Kind of like I would have done if somebody asked if I still existed;
I would have said "No.", thereby proving my existence while denying
it, in what would be funny in an infantile way only appreciated by,
well, nobody.
I'm not sufficiently familiar with Bob Dylan's work to quote much. I
guess I could suggest that all persons present are required to
become high on pot ("Everybody must get stoned"😉, or maybe quote
bits of a song covered (and made more popular) by Jimi Hendrix (All
Along The Watchtower), or wonder how it feels to be on your own,
with no direction home, a complete unknown, just like a rolling
stone...or I could even (now this is as obscure as my Bob Dylan
knowledge gets) give you a shortened version of a story of a
African-American boxer wrongly convicted. Well, I could quote a
couple lines, but I don't really remember the song well. Anyway,
don't convict me of plagiarism that I've never done...😉
If you're talking about some Dylan other than Bob, then I'm
completely lost. I imagine "I don't believe you" would be something
uttered by Bob Dylan...or nearly anybody else.
