    I'm looking to buy a bike primarily for (fast) London commuting (16 miles/day) but which must also be suitable for occasional light touring (ie: 7 days camping/touring in the Scottish Highlands). I've looked around and have frequently been recommended the Marin Highway One - can anyone express an opinion on this bike or recommend a suitable alternative in the £900 - £1100 price range.

    Any comments very much appreciated.
