  1. I am very new to running but have set my sights on a half marathon in September, which I feel I
could run with ease, well hopefully in nine months.

My question is with marathons, do you run the whole marathon? Sorry for probably a daft question but
I just couldn't imagine running all that distance non stop.

    Many thanks

Perfectly reasonable question and the answer is some do and some don't. Since this will be your
first I would opt for a very conservative program which would likely mean walk breaks during you
training and probably during the race.

Ignore the Neanderthal knuckle dragger attitudes that suggest walking during training or the race
    lessens the effort.

It all goes back to training and how your body reacts to endurance running. Who knows, you may be a
    natural distance runner.

Any relation to Rosie Ruiz? Rather than walk there is always the subway. 🙂
