My tour next year will be long. Looking at the price and quantity of maps i will need, i'll be looking to spend a small fortune and half my weight will be maps.
What does everyone else do?
I've looked at GPS but the Garmin 605/705 has a built in battery which can be charged by external AA batteries but i'm not sure how effective this is.
The other option would be to carry a few maps then buy the rest when i need them, where would be the best places around Europe to buy decent maps and not something like "A Road Atlas Of Germany".
Thanks
