I have searched the NG archives and Web for info to help me plan a walk of about 8 days in Mallorca. Everything I have seen is geared up to a base from where day walks take place. Can anyone help with suggestions for something linear?
One of our party, although very fit, has limited vision, and has been known to disappear down holes at the side of very narrow upland paths. We'd prefer to avoid that; SOME slow-paced intensive guidance for him is fine, but we don't want to be doing that all the time, so some clear paths, relatively obstruction-free is what we prefer. We usually stay in hostel/gites type accommodation or small hostals/hotels. We are used to walking 6-8 hrs a day in various terrains and we are OK with some shorter days and <some> sightseeing.
I have ordered June Parker's book. Any other recommendations?

Discovery guides. Sadly June Palmer is the late June Palmer and access problems on Mallorca (due to influxes of northern europeans) need up to date info.
