Remember I said I had my Scicon bike box damage when I returned from
Mallorca a couple of weeks ago?
I submitted the claims form to the loss adjusters acting of behalf of
the airline 10 days ago. Today I had a letter from them with a cheque
attached for the full amount - £357.09.
Gobsmacked.

Too right. To settle the claim promptly and in full with no argument is
not on. You should put in a claim for the shock and distress caused by
their bizarre response.

Yow! Who's that with?
The money they save on lawyers will surely help them sweep the
competition away, quite apart from the goodwill they just earned!
