  1. I am off next week to magaluf.
To get from the Palma airport I will rely on a friend who knows the
way, but thought I might check it ot first.
I cannot find much info on cycle routes and tracks.I am told that the
big roads are avoidable by off road routes.Does anyone know where I
might find such maps and info?

  3. Hello Terry

Its Pedro from Mallorca. Im a 26 years old rider from Mallorca and I
think I can try to help you with all the information you are requesting
    for.

There are a lot of routes in Mallorca, excellent routes for us. Tell me
your interest, the average of miles you want to ride every day, the
    level you have, etc.

For any questions you can write to [email hidden]

    Many Thanks!

  4. I emailed mallorcabike (http://www.mallorcabike.com/ )
about this and Pedro has replied very promptly :

    Hi

I'm going to try to reply your message in spanish (better for me). I'm
going to explain yo how to go from the airport to Magalluf with a bike.

If you don't understand anything, please, write to me and I will try to
    explain you in english.

(see attached image)

carretera hacia Cala Mayor, después Illetas y llegaremos a Puerto
    Portals, Palma Nova y Magalluf.

    Las carreteras son muy buenas.

Si quiere puedo darle darle más explicaciones o intentar escribirlo
en inglés. If you want I can try to send you tomorrow in english with
    all the Maps.

    Many Thanks!

    Kind Regards

    Pedro

So, it sounds as if the main problem is getting out of the airport
without getting on the Mway.Once at Playa de Palma there is a bike
track right aong the coast through Palma hih will lead to th Cala Mayor
    road.

Pedro sent a .gif of te airport.

What a superb response, and so quick.
    Thankyou.

We will be at the Barbados in Magalluf. One of the riders has been a
number of times, so he will have plans for rides, but I just thought
there might be more maps on the web, and I did not like the look of the
route there.Pedro's instructions are very reassuring.I shall take them
    with me.
