Ok, I've recently begun to have major cramps when I ride. The cramps are on the insides of my hips, kind of above my hamstrings or below my butt, towards the inside. Seems like if I ride for a while and then stand up or get off the saddle I will cramp up when I sit back down. If I ride through the cramps they will go away until the next time I get off the saddle. Also, these feel like more of a ligament or tendon issue than a muscle problem. I have moved my seat up about an inch or so lately and that's about when they started, but I wouldn't think that would be the deal? Any ides? Thanks.

I have the same problem.. but not bad as yours. However, try to stretch it before and after rides.. It will help.. -

An inch seems quite a lot to adjust your seat in one go, unless it was drastically wrong and uncomfortable before. If I were you I might try moving it back down a bit to see if the cramp improves. Also, if you're experimenting with different riding styles, you might have muscle problems when you start using slightly under-trained muscles. I think that's what I've been doing recently, anyway...
Good luck

I will lower my seat back to where it was, I was just experimenting. I don't know if that has anything to do with what I've been having though. This pain is pretty bad, I lose all my speed for about 3-5 minutes but then seem to ride through it...until I stand up again. Someone on this site has to have some other ideas?
