Magneseium Bike Frames

Brain,

Magnesium is an excellent material for frames. Expensive if constructed in the states, less so from Paketa.

Inexpensive frames from Litech can be had (Paketa has some proprietary deal with Litech so they're a little different) from Russia and an American dist on Ebay sells them for a couple hundred.

If you can find one, definitely take it for a test ride. Everything I have heard has been positive, except the price, which is normally quoted as being more than titanium. The problem is that I never see them in any of the shops I frequent and I'm not about to buy a bike without riding it first.

by the by, unless you live in Berkeley or Boulder or somewhere near someone who has one, you won't get a test ride.

well I got a Mag frameset brand new for just a little over a hundred, havent built it yet, but Ive never had a frame this light, and the best part is how solid it feels, thanks for the help guys
