i got to the top of Pillar late this morning to find the summit deserted in
summer on a saturday in august!
i sat in warm sunshine for a good 25 minutes then one walker came & went
without stopping, then i had another good 15 minutes on my own before
everyone arrived at once..magic!
a man set up a mast about 15 feet high on the summit with an antenna on
top,guy wires to stabilise it & then i heard his radio crackling away..i
didnt ask why.
