  1. I recently read that some studies have shown that lycopene supplements
may not be an effective way to get all of the antioxidant powers of
the nutrient. Apparently, it may be the way that tomatoes are cooked
or other nutrients in the tomato that are required. Is this true? Are
there certain brands of lycopene that are more effective than others
or must I stick with tomato soup, pizza, or tomato sauce to maximize
the benefits? I also read that tomato juice (not that I drink it!) Is
    also not an effective source.

    Thanks!!
