Says super-bright LED in the description. Good light levels/battery life ratio, so yes, probably.

Hey, how wrong can ya go for US$20. The numbers don't add up though. No three AAA batteries I ever heard of were good for 30Wh. The best AAA I've ever seen is the Eveready Lithium, at 1250mAh, 1.5V (1.9Wh). Three of these are 5.6Wh, which would run a 3W light for a little under two hours.

I'd suspect they have no electronics in them at all, and simply connect the LED across the battery, relying on the battery internal resistance to limit the current.

Yup thats what I was thinking. Even if there is a 3W Luxeon inside I dont think its worth the cash.. ($18 at the ATA site)
