Lulworth range walks

path so you may have to wait for it to be opened. They may of course leave
it open if the path is open the following day, but I'd be suprised if they
do as you have to walk between the yellow markers (as that is the only part
that is cleared of ammunition etc), and it would be dangerous to walk
through there at night. I suggest giving them a call on 01929 462721 extn
4819. I'd ask them to confirm, as when I called them on a previous occasion
I was put through to a recorded message once I asked for the extension
number giving the opening days but not times.

I'd suggest it would take about 45 minutes at a brisk pace, or probably
about half an hour if you walk along Lulworth Cove beach rather than
round the top. I believe the 'commercial photography ban' (actually
publication of photos according to the signs) extends only as far as
Lulworth Cove to the east and doesn't cover the ranges. If you search
on google groups you'll see this has come up a number of times as
to whether it's enforcable anyway.

I believe the ban is [censored]. They can't stop you taking or publishing
photographs. There's no such law, and if there was, why it only apply
to Lulworth? Just some locals taking the [censored] IMO. Take no notice.
Just say it's not commercial if anyone asks, not that it's likely. And
then publish them!

ISTR (from my student days) that it is/was possible to ban the use of a
tripod in some places.

Lulworth Range Walks and Tyneham Village are open to the public every
weekend from 09.00am Saturday until 07.30pm Sunday apparently, in case
anyone else was following this.

From this it sounds like they leave the walks open overnight. Got to
wait for a clear Sunday morning...
