A 17-year-old Springfield boy was injured Tuesday when his bicycle and a

Joseph Clifford Benner IV was riding his bike west on Sixth about 12:20
p.m. when he suddenly darted in front of the pickup, police said.

Avenue on Tuesday.
He was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center in serious condition, police
said.
The truck driver wasn't able to avoid the collision and wasn't cited,
police said.
