  1. I went out for a walk up Place Fell this afternoon. Saw the first rain in
    weeks, at the same time I was out, and having lost my waterproof over-
    trousers, and discovered that my waterproof jacket most certainly isn't
    any more.

    Still, it makes getting home and changing into something dry feel very
    satisfying, and there was a beautiful rainbow, with a nice glimpse of it
    on the way home perfectly arcing above Great Mell Fell. I should've stopped
    and tried to take a photo, but I suspected the angle was too wide for my
    little camera.

    in summer rain, whether by accident or design.

    Yep,

    I chose to walk yesterday, after the wonderful weather we had all
    weekend....

    Still, i was dry half way down to pen y pass, so nowt lost really.
