  1. Right, I might sound stupid now, but how the hell would I go about lubricating the spindle inside my newly bought pedals?

    They are only dirt cheap models really. Diamond Back 'bigfoot 2'. They were about $25.

    They are of a similar look to this....

    Now I thought about opening up the cap on the outside edge and untightning the bolt, but the thing just not untighten. Now, am I doing the right thing? Any suggestions on how to open this?

    Whilst the pedal is open, does anyone have any beginner instructions to lubrication? When I opened the cap on the outside edge of the pedal, I saw some precarious ball bearings...
