I am an overweight diabetic. I have just had my cholesterol and
triglycerides tested and the result was very, very good, according to
my doctor, surprisingly good for a diabetic.
Here is how I did it.
I eat very little meat. I eat six servings a day of high fiber grains.
I eat beans five days a week. I eat salmon three days a week. I eat
a moderate amount of "good fats" such as olive oil, avocados, flax seed
meal, walnuts, almonds, and cannola oil.
I use weights for my upper body three days a week
I exercise my lower body on alternate days using a step and a small
ball.
I walk about forty minutes a day. I do aerobics, but I am still too
heavy to do it well.
I have lost over one hundred pounds. I have a lot more to go.
Hope this helps.
Oh. Garlic lowers cholestrol, but do the other things, too.
