  1. This recipie came from a Suzanne Somers Low Carb. Cookbook.
    Have made it only once, but its very good. Sorry Carb
    content was not listed .

    Old Fashioned Beef Stew

    1 Tbsp olive oil 2 lbs. beef stew meat salt and black pepper
    2 cloves garlic minced
    1 (14.5-oz) can diced tomatoes 1(8oz) can tomato sauce
    1(15.5oz)can beef broth 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp.
    dried thyme 1 bay leaf 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced 4 stalks
    celery, chopped 8 oz. pearl onions, peeled

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over med-high heat.
    Season beef with salt and pepper. Brown in olive oil in
    small batches. When beef is browned, put into a slow
    cooker. Add the rest of the ingredients. Stir to combine.
    Cook on high for 4 hours, or on low for 8 hours. Discard
    bay leaf before serving.
