  1. I made a pot of decaf coffee today(with fresh ground beans) that came
out way to strong. To temper it a bit rather than start over with a
new pot, I put a couple of tablespoons of Breyers Carb Smart vanilla
ice cream in it. After stirring and the ice cream had mostly melted,
I was amazed at how much it was like cappuccino: tasty, strong,
creamy and frothy. I did this by accident, but I'll do it on purpose
    next time!

  2. He he he. Ya know what? I have been looking at those Starbuck cappucino
things that come in the bottle for months. Maybe even a year or so
waiting for them to make a saugar free low carb one. I have never tried
one but want one. Bag it! I'll try this! I also love the Big Train
Mocha you use fat free milk, crushed ice and a scoop of coffee mocha
mix. 170 cals for a giant glass so Larry and I usually split one.
DELISH! I'm going to make you one when you get here and We'll tie Nancy
up and force feed her one LOL

  3. Does it taste exactly like cappucino? What decaf coffee you used? Are
you suggesting that the Breyers Carb Smart vanilla ice cream has made
this drink like cappucino? Hmm you need to elaborate more about this
    drink.

We won't have to tie her too tightly. She's been off her macrobiotic
diet and has switched back to the "see-food" diet again!

Well, that's very subjective. Cappaccino tastes different made with
different coffees, at different strengths, with different types of
milk. But this was a reasonable facsimile considering it's low carb.

    |What decaf coffee you used?

I used Starbucks brand 100% Columbian decaf coffee beans bought in my
local grocery store, and ground them just before brewing. I use a
percolator, not a drip coffee maker so get more of a full-body coffee
    flavor.

There's not much more to elaborate on; it is what it is! Strong
freshly brewed decaf with a couple of heaping tablespoons (maybe 1/4
cup) of carb Smart vanilla ice cream. It's strong, tasty and creamy.
Of course it's not real cappuccino (which is espresso combined with
goat's milk whipped to a froth to be authentic) but I would think it's
the closest thing to it that's low carb.

Before I started my low-carb way of eating years ago, I used to melt
coffee ice cream in my coffee. It's very similar.
