Members of Cameroon's official delegation to the 18th Commonwealth
Games that took place in Melbourne, Australia, from 15th to 26th
March, 2006, returned to the country in divided ranks last night. The
whereabouts of nine persons of the delegation that comprised 54
persons - 27 athletes and 27 officials, could not be known. Five
boxers, one athlete and three weightlifters, including a medallist,
were no where to be found when the official delegation left the
athlete's village in Melbourne. At press time yesterday, the
sportspersons were still at large as they couldn't be found by the
Melbourne police.
They have joined what has become a growing list of
unaccounted-for athletes.
