I was wondering about cycling rythmn.
I've recently joined the gym and started using all the cardio machines and weights machines.
So instead of a 2/3 hr ride, I will sometimes go to the gym instead and have a workout.
However, I went out on a long ride yesterday and expected to flow quite well because I had been to the gym for two days before.
However, I found that I felt a bit strange - somehow the dynamic rhythmn had been lost slightly.

if you want your cycling to improve, train on the bike, not in the gym.
I'm interested to hear more about the "dynamic rhythm", though....

If that means interest in a possilbe physiologic explaination, I would throw it out there that in this example (gym vs cycle training), the rate of muscle contraction/joint angle rotational velocity of weight lifting is not equivalent to that of cycling. So if you want to feel the "dynamic rhythm", you've got to stay on beat. 😉
