My first front wheel is just built. Measured and recorded spoke tension on all 32 sapim Cx ray spoke (3x) that connect to a American classic CR350 Rim. The wheel has been stress relieived several time before final touch up and once after that and it does not move. So I installed the rim strip, tire and tube and inflated all to 6 bar pressure (~100 PSI). I decide to remeasure spoke tension, and surprise, the spoke tension has dropped 120 N on average. Should any specified spoke tension (by rim or hub manufacturer) apply to the wheel with out tire or wit inflated tire.
By the way I verified the same loss of spoke tension happens to a lesser extent 80 N on my Mavic open pro with dt competition spokes. Any recommendations?

As was discussed in a previous thread, spoke tension is increased by braking in two ways, the rear half of the rim carries an increased compression from the road and brake caliper pushing rearward while the rim is expanded by brake friction heating. Therefore it is reasonable to measure spoke tension in a wheel without an inflated tire since effects of tire pressure, baking force and thermal stress cannot easily be simulated.
