Looking for help (cooking related)

not sure lol

It is a slow cooker type thing...it sits on a hot plate - make sense?

Imagine taking the heating element and the "crock" of a normal slow
cooker and separating them.... and you will have this thing....

I don't know if it can go in an oven though - my aunt has one (still
works) I don't know that she has ever attempted to use it in the oven
though....

I am going to keep searching for this thing 'cause stuff like this will
bug me and keep me awake all night lol

Sounds like you got the slow cooker dish, but not the heat plate that
goes under it. I would think that low temp baking should be fine with
it.

Nope, that's just like my slow cooker. The dish I got at the yard
sale is glass, like a casserole dish, only oblong and about 2 inches
deep with a flat glass lid, no knob like some casserole lids. I
searched too, and will try calling Proctor Silex this morning. Thanks
for the help ......Sharon
