  1. I've looked everywhere I could think for a hand-held pace calculator and
have been unable to find one.

I would appreciate any help in locating one.

I'd like to be able to make the "simple" calculation of time (base 60)
divided by distance (base 10) and get the answer in time (base 60). This
would give average time/mile for example.

I have used several pace calculators on the internet. My favorite is at
coolrunning.com. But, I'd also like to get a portable hand-held calculator
    if one exists.

    thanks

Have you thought about using a palm device (e.g., Palm Pilot, WorkPad, etc)
and getting an app that will calculate it for you (or writing one)?

Here's a slightly different approach I'd recommend: if you have a good idea
of your pace in advance, make yourself a pace band, and then it should be
easy enough to calculate the rest in your head (for example, if your goal is
6:48 a mile, your pace band says 40:48 at mile 6, so if you hit mile 6 in
    40:12, you're up by 36 seconds, or 6 seconds a mile.

    Cheers,
