  1. I am looking for the new bike.
Fortunately found this forum on the net!
Used to ride a lot as a teenager. Then after a considerable brake bought myself a "Mongoose" mountain bike from Wallmart and used it for the past years. I am ridind on decent roads only 3-4 times a week for 5-10 miles. Now I feel like it is time to replace my bike. The problem is I have no idea about bikes. Would like the expert advice.
I am 39 y.o., 6'2" and 210lbs. I am not a professional so my bike should be not more than $700. I just do not want to go Wallmart or Target and buying the first bike I like looks wise without knowing what am I doing.
    Please help.

  2. Go to your local bicycle shop! They will guide you every step of the way in choosing the right bike that fits you within your price range. If they try to upsell you, go to a different bike shop. $700.00 will buy you a nice entry level road bike😉.

  3. my first road bike was a lemond etape, which was about $700, I think the price has risen now, but it was a very comfy, nice bike, you can def. find a nice one, like kdelong said, go to your local bike shop, most likley you'll find a nice one

  4. You could take a look at this under $750 road bike thread to see what is out there:
