A little plastic part should cost less than a quid to post accross the pond.

If it's anything like the 396 cover, it just snaps off with a screwdriver.

Graham - let me ask the post office if they have a way for me to "prepay" foreign postage for the
plate (assuming you'll part with just the silly plastic plate). I'll post back. I'm beginning to
realize it's probably more expedient (but not cheaper) to just go and buy a new set and say "to heck
with it:. Again, I'll post back after the weekend - I'm tied up a work for the entire weekend.
