I just picked up a new to me Trek carbon fiber bike with Look pedals. However, when pedaling it feels as though the look pedal allows the shoe to move on the upstroke. This feels very different than my Shimano SPD which feels tight all around. The pedal I have is shown below. Thoughts? Thanks. Steve

I'll have to take a picture when I get home to show you how the cleat looks. I think I am going to sell the pedals and cleats though as I like my shoes with the SPS cleat better.

I don't think I've ever talked to anybody who doesn't prefer some form of new pedal technology (SPD-SL, Look Delta, Time RXS, Speedplay, etc.) to Look delta. Most rationales for using Look delta range from "Forte pedals are cheap" to "It's what's already on the bike." That said, it's good enough for me on the bikes I don't go long and hard on.
