  1. OK, all you master wrenches out there, here's a chance to prove your
    worth!

I'm trying to install a Look HSC4 SL fork on a 2002 DeRosa UD, which
    uses a Campy Hiddenset.
The fork is somewhat odd, in that it is made with a built-in crown
race, just like the new HSC5 SL fork. Apparently there's also a
version of this fork without the built-in race...
Problem is, no matter what we try, we cannot get this to install. The
problem is that the bottom of the headtube still comes in contact with
the top of the fork before the built in crown race comes in contact
with the bearings. No one seems to have an idea as to what to do. The
    Look install instructions are useless.

Does anyone here know what to do? Is there a piece can be gotten to
make this work? I can't believe that Look would make their new
integrated forks and have them be unusable by non-Look bikes!

  2. HI,
You need a shim to go either between the inside of the head tube or between
    the race and bearing.
This is actually more common than you would think.

I know FSA makes these shims. They're the same shape as the bearing and
    they do a great job.
    I think they're 0.5mm thick.
Call them or your bike shop and I'm sure you'll be on your way.
    It's a simple solution.
