Once I hit the 25-30 mile mark, I often experience debilitating pain in the taint area. I typically have to stop riding for a while until the pain subsides. Ice seems to help, but it's a little difficult to apply on the side of the road. This taint pain has hampered my training and performance during my last few races. Any suggestions from the pros?

Prostate discomfort, or your [censored] tube?
You might wanna try some saddles with cut-outs, such as the SMPs, etc, etc.
If you already have a cut-out saddle, you might wanna try another one.
I find most of the holes too narrow. -

Re-evaluate your bike fit as it can be the cause of such discomfort. Pay special attention to saddle position with respect to the bottom bracket. Note that position should be changed only to position your leg properly with respect to the bottom bracket and shouldn't be changed to increase or decrease reach to the bars. Also pay attention to saddle height. Saddles that are positioned too high can cause saddle discomfort as well. Re-evaluate your saddle tilt. If none of that fixes the issue, you need to consider that your saddle may not be right for you. There is no guaranteed way of finding the right saddle except by testing saddles. It can be a long process. As for shorts/bibs, not all are created equally, and the right shorts/bibs are as personal of a choice as the right saddle is. Some folks need shorts/bibs with thick chamois, while others only get by with thin chamois. Chamois placement varies from brand to brand.
