Yesterday we Londoners were celebrating being awarded the Best Sporting Event On The Planet, The Olympics of 2012 and today we are mourning as barbarians attack our beautiful city and kill and maim scores of people.
But we will not be beaten - we put on a great games in 1908 at short notice; survived [censored]'s Blitz; put on another great games in 1948 again at short notice and then survived decades of bombings by the IRA (Irish Terrorists) and we will not give in to these latest misguided fanatics either.

Over the years Germany, Italy, France, Britain, Spain etc have all faced up to terrorists - more lately the extreme so-called Islamists have targeted New York; Bali; Madrid and London as well as others in an even more extreme way.
