Hi, I'm new to cycling and will be doing london to Paris in April and have started my training. Planning to commute to london in march as my season ticket ends and thought it would be great training and also save money as the train and 30 minute walk I do should take about the same to cycle. It's about 16 miles there so a 30 mile or so round trip. Does anyone have any advice on the best routes in I'm debating using the super cycle highway on a13 or going along the a12 cycle path. Does anyone commute daily the same sort of distance and area? Thanks

30 miles would make for a very respectable distance for commuting purposes, i used to do 19 miles round trip on a metropole city but with better weather than i could imagine for London, and yes commuting improves fitness considerably,
