Loius Garneau Clothing

I've only got one jersey and bibs from LG and they're on the cheaper end of the spectrum, so YMMV. Cuts for different models from the same manufacturer seem like they can vary quite a bit.

I found the jersey to fit very true to what I'd expect. I have an XL which is what I would normally buy in shirts and it fits very well, not skin tight, but doesn't flap or tent and is comfortable for a full range of motion.

The bibs in L fit pretty close to true, but are maybe a bit short in the torso for me and have a very strict seam running right down the middle of the chamois from the front of the bibs to back that bifurcates the nether regions and tends cause junk migration to the left or right every 10 miles or so. Kind of a bummer as the chamois itself is pretty comfortable for long rides (and relatively cheap) aside from this issue. The legs are cut 1/2 - 3/4" shorter than my other PI and Specialized bibs, but not too big of a deal, other than showing off my tanlines....

Louis Garneau has relaxed fit and pro fit clothes. The pro fit stuff is snug but feels great. I order down a size on the relaxed fit as I still want that snug fit. I wear a medium pro fit in shorts and jersey (150 lbs, 5'10"😉 And I highly disagree, they are well made. The chamois is spectacular and I have many 4 years of century rides in those shorts. They don't use an elastic on the cuff, but instead do a wonderful compression style cuff which is far more comfy in my mind.

I wasn't meaning to imply that the bibs weren't well made, just that they were short in the body for me (I'm a relatively long torso-ed 6'2", 200lbs). I couldn't agree more about the comfort of the chamois itself considering I believe the set I have are the cheapest they offer. The overall design and compresion characteristics of the bibs are nice as well .

For reference, the jersey I have is a Race fit and seems true to size and very comfy.

My only issue with Garneau is if you have to special order from them. They tend to make a set amount of clothing for th year and then you just can't get it any more. But if the stuff is on a rack and in your size I love it.

And the Pro bib shorts have a little spot between the shoulder blades for a radio / mp3 player. very handy.
