Lizard Skins Grunge shields?

Howdy all.... I got some of these derailleur covers, and wonder if anyone else has any experience with them. It turns out that they are ONLY for bottom swing front deraillears, and I think that was not in the catalog fine print. Any reports from the field? Thanks..
