I think the survey results are virtually all in, and a few latecomers
are unlikely to change the results.
I can't show you the results directly, so here's a summary:
22 respondents
Flocked vs. Embroidered:
4 Flocked
15 Embroidered
3 abstentions
(79% preference for embroidery)
Second-line Slogan:
All surveyees responded.
More than half the votes favored no second line (12/55%)
The runners up, all with 4 votes (18%):
-Benjamin Franklin
It's not about the beer
Or get dropped
The remaining options got 0-2 votes each.
It looks like we'll be doing about 21 jerseys, so that's enough.
There were five comments. One indicated a preference order among three
slogans, two were greetings that identified the voters, and one asserted
an opinion about my sexuality. Oh yeah: and the fifth was my own
comment, when I tested the survey.
So that's great! More importantly, the preferences were strong, which
makes my job easy.
This means I'll figure out what's next, but I'll be ordering embroidered
jerseys with no second line.
I would note that for anyone who really really wants a second line,
there are lots of embroidery shops that are likely to be able to do
this. Indeed, right by my house is a custom embroiderer, and while I
haven't checked prices, I doubt it's exorbitant, even for a single item
(as far as I know all these things are done with a computer front-end,
so it's basically a CAM-sewing machine given its marching orders by a
funny printer driver).
If anyone has any questions about the survey, let me know.
