    I just received my 3 sram pc99 chains.

    Now is there a specification for the number of replacement links?

    Or, do you just count both the old and the new?

    You can lay them down side by side to determine the length of the new chain. Another method is to
    route the new chain over the large chainring and the largest cog and the derailleur jockeys and then
    overlap by two links.
